Hooray, Hotel Astoria is celebrating its 30th anniversary!

Once upon a time there was a friendly man with a big dream... To become a hotel owner! After years of working as a manager at the Zinger Hotel, it was time for his own company. After a long search, deliberation and consideration... Hotel Astoria suddenly came up for sale. A small hotel with 26 rooms. That seemed like a great opportunity to the now experienced hotelier.

Together with his son Nico, Stokman senior took on the challenge. Business went well and within 3 years they decided to expand the hotel with a conference room. Another 4 years later, a third floor and a conservatory were added. This increased the number of hotel rooms to 35. After the renovation of the 1st and 2nd floors, the restaurant and another expansion with a conference room, a lounge and a cellar, Stokman senior decided that after 20 years, it was time for his retirement. Nico took over and started with a fresh wind. When a storm in 2013 blew the front facade off, the idea for a veranda was also born.

This is how Hotel Astoria is, 30 years later, a middle-class hotel, where hospitality and homeliness are paramount and where the staff pays attention to the guests. A milestone that we would like to celebrate with you as a guest of Hotel Astoria. That is why you can book a room with us including breakfast for €30,- per person per night until January 31st.
