Hotel Astoria is quietly situated with the sea, beach and dunes in the nearby surroundings. The shopping area is also within walking distance, as are various restaurants and places to go out.
For “serious” shopping, Den Haag (20 km) and Amsterdam (25 km) are close by, and surrounding municipalities such as Noordwijkerhout, Lisse and Sassenheim also have great stores.
A bike trip from Noordwijk is always fun, and in the spring you’ll certainly be able to enjoy the beautiful bulb fields on the way to the Keukenhof (www.keukenhof.nl), for example. During the summer months, there are touristy summer markets in Katwijk and Noordwijk, and the Tuinmarkt in the historic centre of Noordwijk Binnen is not to be missed.
The Bloemen Corsos in April and August are also great events to enjoy in combination with a stay at our hotel.
Hotel Astoria is a great home base for visiting cultural destinations. Various museums, including the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank Museum, Rijksmuseum and Museum van Oudheden, are located nearby.
Vacationing with your children is also recommended in Noordwijk. Aside from the beach and the sea, there are various amusement parks and playgrounds in the area, such as Linneaushof, Drievliet, Duinrell, de Bubblejungle and Madurodam. Space-expo and Corpus are educational activities for the entire family. Noordwijk offers complete entertainment for all.
